About Us

The Eastern Idaho Apartment Association is dedicated to the education and support of Landlords, Property Managers and Rental Owners in Eastern Idaho.  Our members own or manage single family houses to apartment complexes or are venders to our industry.

We offer monthly meetings & news letters, annual service project, Landlord and Tenant Guidelines pamphlet, and an email network for support, referrals, and advice.

· Through the email network I was able to save $1700.  My furnace when out.  I called my regular HVAC guy and got a quote for $3700.  I asked the group for referrals and got a great contractor who only charged $2000!!! BJW

· I was a little nervous about an applicant so I asked the group if anyone knew them.  I received a reply by their real Landlord.  We had a very interesting discussion and I avoided a problem tenant. BJW

· After the meeting about collections, I turned an old claim for tenant damage over to the presenters company.  I hadn’t been able to collect any thing for 2 years.  In two weeks I received a check for $1600 from the collection agency.

· Being a member of the Eastern Idaho Association has been great for my rental business. The monthly meetings are so informative. I've avoided making lots of common mistakes by the tips I've picked up from the speakers and other members. KT

· I had a tenant that abandoned one of my units. I had a free initial consultation with an attorney through my membership with the EIAA. I learned what the legal avenue is for dealing with this situation, and was able to strengthen the language in my lease agreement about abandonment issues. Now I know what my options are if this happens again. FS
